Lifting Off
Lifting Off
Acrylic on Canvas
30” x 30“
2026
Series: Convergence
Some paintings arrive through persistence; others arrive through trust. Lifting Off became the moment when separate marks and colors stopped competing for attention and began working together. What emerged wasn’t something I had planned, but something I recognized. Looking back, I see it as the first painting in a new body of work exploring how seemingly unrelated elements can find relationship without losing their individuality.
The paintings in Convergence are about living with complexity. I love those moments when things that seem unrelated suddenly belong together. In these paintings, color, line, and shape gradually find a common language—not by becoming the same, but by discovering how to live in relationship with one another.
