Capturing the moment of crossing into relationship…
Threshold began with two separate forms. As I worked, I became less interested in the forms themselves than in the space where they met. That’s where the painting came alive. For me, Threshold is about that moment when something shifts—when connection begins and new possibilities open up.
The paintings in my Confluence series are about living with complexity. I love those moments when things that seem unrelated suddenly belong together. In these paintings, color, line, and shape gradually find a common language—not by becoming the same, but by discovering how to live in relationship with one another.
